The COVID-19 pandemic has substantial impacts on our daily routine and, when we focus on the healthcare, managerial and educational axes in health, we perceive its repercussions more clearly. The theme is transversal to some of the articles in this issue of the Global Academic Nursing Journal, which brings deaths from COVID-19 in a municipality in northwestern Paraná, as well as reporting the experience of supervised nursing internship in pediatrics, in the context of COVID- 19 and the impact on reports of adverse drug events during the pandemic. Nevertheless, themes that usually permeate our practice return to the discussion agenda, such as nursing hours worked and nurses' stress, a theme that has been touched upon by the pandemic. The role of nurses and nursing care at different levels of care, such as prenatal care, risk classification in emergency management, as well as the different clienteles assisted: schoolchildren, cancer patients, the elderly, are also central. of this edition. In short, the manuscripts in this edition support, through evidence-based health, reflections and paradigm shifts related to our daily practice, in order to improve the quality of health care offered.
