Abstract
The aim was to report the experience of the members of the Scientific Committee of the 28th Brazilian Congress of Nursing Councils (CBCENF) in the planning, organization, and conduct of the scientific process of the event. This is a descriptive experience report with a qualitative approach, based on the activities developed by the Scientific Committee established by decree of the Federal Nursing Council, according to the guidelines established in the internal regulations of 2026. The Scientific Committee is composed of specialists in the field of Nursing, with national representation. The activities involve the elaboration of the internal regulations, the definition of the central theme and thematic axes, the organization of the submission notice, the coordination of the work evaluation process, and the structuring of the scientific program. It is expected that this will lead to increased scientific participation, standardization of evaluation criteria, and strengthening of the methodological quality of the works to be presented. It is concluded that the performance of the Scientific Committee is a strategic element to guarantee rigor, equity, transparency, and scientific excellence to the event.
