The need for constant updating is undeniable with regard to health professionals. The new coronavirus pandemic has exacerbated this requirement, as well as deepened the need to carry out various studies in a timely manner to implement their findings. Beyond the significantly troubled initial period, research continues with a view to understanding the main phenomena found in the different stages of the pandemic. In this sense, the Global Academic Nursing Journal invites you to read this edition, which brings articles that focus on the main complications found in people diagnosed with COVID-19, as well as the repercussions of the pandemic period on the work environment and female teaching life. . It also brings discussions on the treatment of pressure injuries (PU) in people hospitalized for COVID-19, as well as a cohort analysis that questions the effectiveness of the hydrocolloid patch for the prevention of PU in the prone position.
