The new coronavirus pandemic invites us to revisit our practices and knowledge on a daily basis, especially those that, by health professionals, are considered transversal and unquestionable, such as biosafety principles.
In this edition of the Global Academic Nursing Journal, articles bring reflection on the paths we have traced and the lessons learned in this pandemic, as well as bringing the focus to health workers, often marginalized and who play a fundamental role in the proper functioning of health units regarding resistance to the use of personal protective equipment.
Workers' health appears as the protagonist of this edition, in addition to the aforementioned issues, when discussing the repercussions of the pandemic on workers' health surveillance and ergonomics in remote work, a modality mostly used in the critical period of the pandemic and which remains in vogue for many institutions and companies.
In addition to the theme related to the pandemic and its impact on the world of work, this edition presents reviews focused on the ideal care to be offered from different perspectives, such as ozone therapy and non-pharmacological methods of pain relief in neonates.
We invite the academic community to share this edition with us, which is important for our reflection on facing the new coronavirus pandemic and our daily practice.
