Despite regulatory advancements and the expansion of public policies aimed at guaranteeing the right to health for the LGBTQIAPN+ population, significant challenges persist in achieving comprehensive, equitable, and discrimination-free care. Barriers to accessing health services, practices marked by cisheteronormativity, weaknesses in professional training, and limitations in the incorporation of assistive and educational technologies still impact the quality of care offered and the user experience at different levels of care.
In this context, it becomes fundamental to expand the production and dissemination of scientific evidence that contributes to strengthening inclusive, ethical, and socially committed practices capable of responding to the multiple health needs of the LGBTQIAPN+ population, considering their social markers, life trajectories, and contexts of vulnerability.
This thematic edition seeks to gather scientific productions, experience reports, research, theoretical essays, and critical reflections that address comprehensiveness, intersectionality, and equity in healthcare for the LGBTQIAPN+ population, encompassing different scenarios and perspectives, including assistance, management, teaching, research, outreach, and innovation.
By recognizing the work of professionals, researchers, teachers, students, and services committed to promoting the health and rights of the LGBTQIAPN+ population, this edition aims to increase visibility and strengthen scientific production in the area, stimulating the exchange of knowledge and the construction of more inclusive and equitable practices.
In this sense, we invite the scientific and professional community to submit their work and contribute to this thematic edition, helping to advance knowledge and strengthen healthcare for the LGBTQIAPN+ population.
