Abstract
This scoping review will aim to map the scientific evidence on the implementation of person-centred care for fall prevention among hospitalized adults and older adults in clinical settings. Considering the relevance of falls as a major adverse event and the need for more participatory preventive strategies aligned with patients’ needs, this review will seek to understand how person-centred care has been implemented in this context. The review will be conducted in accordance with the JBI methodology and reported following the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses Extension for Scoping Reviews (PRISMA-ScR). Searches will be performed in national and international databases, as well as grey literature sources, without restrictions on language or publication dates. Additionally, the snowballing technique will be employed using the Citation Chaser tool. Sources of evidence will be screened in the Rayyan software by two independent reviewers, with a third reviewer involved in resolving disagreements according to the eligibility criteria. Data analysis and presentation will be conducted through narrative synthesis, organized according to the PCC framework (Population, Concept, and Context), using visual resources such as tables, charts, graphs, frequency diagrams, and thematic maps.
