Recognition of a journal in practice

Deepening our analysis of the impact of a journal and the recognition of the Academy, we can see the immensity of variables, whether formal - given as recognized, such as the number of citations, the Impact Factor, metrics, etc -, as well as informal ones, which do not are counted and/or evaluated to calculate and rank a journal itself. We can call this group secondary, given our analysis carried out here.

In this secondary group, it is possible to include alternative metrics, which consist of appearances of the DOI number on social networks, which is very common when the authors and the journal itself use social media to establish the bridge between Science and Society based on scientific articles published in serious and ethical journals. Still, we can add to this second group the recognition of the authors by entities, as was the case of the article entitled "What we need to know about Monkeypox in humans: facts, not fakes", by the authors: Renato França da Silva, Deyse Conceição Santoro, Fernando Sanches, Mariana Machay Pinto Nogueira, Lucilene Araújo de Freitas, Daniella Alves Pereira Bittencourt, Adriana da Conceição do Desterro and Antônio da Silva Ribeiro; published in the year 2022, v. 3, no. 2, available from link: https://doi.org/10.5935/2675-5602.20200257. In 2 months, the authors were invited to publish in an international journal of great impact, in addition to the acceptance of the insertion of the publication in ARCA - Institutional Repository of Fiocruz - and, still, it was the scientific basis for a video made available on Youtube by Researcher Sonia Naomi Mimura, who reads and questions relevant scientific articles of great impact, translating science into a formal language without losing science, its essence.

Certainly, the publication of a scientific article is not "just" an academic compliment, it goes much further. Through relevant, well-developed studies, published in well-managed, high-impact journals, in more than 1 language and with quality indexes, it is possible to take the author's research beyond walls, beyond borders, translating into doing science, increasing the networking, recognition of studies and their authors and possible invitations and opening doors of opportunities.

The Global Academic Nursing Journal acts consistently in continuous improvement and with the due responsibility of being the greatest disseminator of the study, so that research can be continued, seen from other perspectives, under new nuances, under new samples.

Science is an infinite world of possibilities and this journal fulfills its role with excellence towards authors, readers, researchers and Science.

Welcome to the Global Academic Nursing Journal!
